AMERINDA (American Indian Artists) All Counties
American Indian Artists (AMERINDA) works to empower Native Americans, break down barriers, and foster intercultural understanding and appreciation of Native culture. Through a variety of arts programs, productions, and services to artists, AMERINDA supports Native artists who embody the traditional practices and values that define Native culture. AMERINDA also promotes the indigenous perspective in the arts to a wide audience through the creation of new works in contemporary art forms-visual, literary, performing, and media arts.

The Babylon Citizens Council on the Arts (Bacca) was founded in 1974 with the mission to provide a variety of cultural programs and services to residents of the Town of Babylon and surrounding communities. It is Bacca's intent to enhance the lives of community members who enjoy and participate in the arts along with those people whose careers and avocations are in the arts. We are dedicated to developing and providing services and programs in all art genres that are not available elsewhere on Long Island. Bacca's programs include fine art classes, writing workshops, lectures, live theater, concerts, art exhibitions, children's programs, photography exhibitions, book discussion groups, film forums and cultural festivals. Bacca also provides services to artists including grant research and writing assistance, opportunities to exhibit work at businesses in the community, maintenance of an artists registry and listings in Bacca newsletters of upcoming exhibitions.

The Brooklyn Arts Council (BAC) is a service organization dedicated to helping artists, arts organizations and community groups promote and sustain the arts. BAC is unique in the borough in that it assists artists -- both amateur and professional -- in all disciplines. In the firm belief that culture contributes to the health of the community, BAC takes a leadership role in creating an environment conducive to the arts, and provides grants, resources, referrals, networking opportunities, seminars and other activities that support and encourage the arts.

As a service and advocacy leader in New York State for more than 30 years, the Alliance of NYS ARTS Organizations is at the forefront with lively networking gatherings, groundbreaking professional training programs, and an expansive Web-based communications network.

Services include: Annual Arts Summit; professional training for arts leaders and artists using webinars and blog; monthly Member Memos, Regional Captain Network of arts leaders that covers 58 of the state’s 62 counties; Regional meetings; Rurals Program that supports 34 organizations serving 40 upstate counties; rural workshops to train upstate arts administrators; the Harlem Project to train the next generation of arts leaders and bring diverse voices to arts advocacy; staff site visits, consultancies and referrals.

Advocacy and public policy initiatives include: lobbying to increase the NYSCA budget; Arts Day in Albany with Arts Showcase featuring organizations and performers; Local Advocacy Week with almost 50 events statewide; Online Advocacy Center; Online Rally for arts advocates to make their voices heard in Albany; online publications including Advocacy Handbook; 475,000 e-mails to our online database of 8,500 arts organizations; State Captain for NY and leads the NYS delegation of arts advocates in Washington DC; represent NYS in national advocacy forums.

The Putnam Arts Council (PAC) is a not-for-profit arts service organization chartered in 1963 by the New York State Department of Education. Its mission is to promote, foster and encourage the arts in all forms in Putnam County and its environs.
