- The Academy of American Poets was founded in 1934 to support American poets at all stages of their careers and to foster the appreciation of contemporary American poetry.

- The Adirondack Center for Writing (ACW) is a resource and educational organization providing support to writers and enhancing literary activity and communication in the Adirondacks. ACW benefits both emerging and established writers as well as develops literary audiences by encouraging partnerships among exisiting regional organizations to promote diverse programs.
- AMERINDA (American Indian Artists) All Counties
- American Indian Artists (AMERINDA) works to empower Native Americans, break down barriers, and foster intercultural understanding and appreciation of Native culture. Through a variety of arts programs, productions, and services to artists, AMERINDA supports Native artists who embody the traditional practices and values that define Native culture. AMERINDA also promotes the indigenous perspective in the arts to a wide audience through the creation of new works in contemporary art forms-visual, literary, performing, and media arts.
- Committee on Poetry
- The Committee on Poetry supports and celebrates contemporary poets and their work. The committee gathers money from those who have it in amounts excess to their needs and disburses it among poets who lack personal finance or wherewithal to accomplish small projects. The committee's money is used to sustain artists and their projects in times of stress; publish works of art which have no immediate commercial vehicles for publicity; participate in projects for altering the consciousness of the nation toward a more humane spirit of adhesiveness prophesied by Whitman; promote freedom of expression where such expression is threatened by social prejudice or outside force; aid sick, wounded or nervous creative souls who might otherwise be financially isolated; give joy to writers and artists who wish to escape unpleasant circumstances and travel or meditate; help unlucky poets and painters avoid confinement in jails and madhouses or ease their return to freedom; and otherwise aid in spiritual emergencies.
- Community Word Project Bronx, Kings (Brooklyn), New York (Manhattan), Queens, Richmond (Staten Island) Counties
- The Community-Word Project (CWP) is a New York City-based arts-in-education organization that seeks to increase the literacy and leadership skills of at-risk public school youth by integrating creative expression and community-building into their classroom curricula. Our participants experience and learn that when we bring our voices and visions together we are more likely to be heard and to make constructive change happen in our lifetime. In CWP workshops, young people develop the academic, collaborative and creative skills to bring forth their ideas to a greater public.
- Council of Literary Magazines & Presses All Counties
- The Council of Literary Magazines and Presses (CLMP) was founded in 1967 to serve independent publishers of fiction, poetry and prose. As a service and advocacy organization for these magazines and presses, CLMP guides literature through the business of publishing, while engaging diverse communities of readers through public programs. CLMP's services and resources are designed to develop each member’s publishing capacity through increased marketing and organizational skills, while promoting communication and shared learning across the field. CLMP unifies this diverse literary world by both serving its common needs and celebrating its independent voices.
- Cuban Artists Fund All Counties
- In order to offer a comprehensive portrayal of contemporary Cuban arts and culture and to raise global awareness of Cuban cultural achievement, the Cuban Artists Fund (CAF) provides financial and technical support to Cuban-born artists in the US, Cuba and around the world. CAF also supports US-based collaborations with performing, literary and visual artists from Cuba. It does so to foster understanding and create supportive networks among artists, art professionals, institutions and communities.
- DreamYard Project Bronx County
- DreamYard is an innovative arts-in-education organization that integrates the arts into the curricula of elementary, middle and high school students. DreamYard runs classes at public schools, social service placement facilities, juvenile detention centers and alternative-to-incarceration programs. We train professional artists, playwrights, visual artists, poets, musicians, actors and filmmakers to work side-by-side with classroom teachers to help students learn how to express, write and perform their own stories. DreamYard understands that it is imperative to direct a young person's creativity toward positive goals as we strive to develop well-rounded and engaged citizens.

- Art Resources Transfer, founded in 1987, is committed to documenting and supporting artists' voices and work, and making these voices accessible beyond conventional art spaces and outlets by establishing innovative methods of distribution and access. Art Resources Transfer has maintained two distinct program areas: publishing (A.R.T. Press) and distribution (DUC Library Program).
