2124 Broadway
New York, NY

(212) 465-6500
This 2,894 seat, three-tiered theater opened in 1929 to present motion pictures and vaudeville entertainment. The venue is most famous, however, as a music hall, which has been its primary offering since the 1970s. Bands such as the Grateful Dead, Rolling Stones and the Allman Brothers (who perform an annual spring concert series at the Beacon) have graced the stage. The ornate, neo-Grecian interior features a two-story, circular lobby and 30-foot-tall Greek goddesses on either side of the stage.
