- Founded to preserve and display a collection of important 19th-century art amassed by Matthias H. Arnot, the Arnot Art Museum in Elmira organizes exhibitions of work by local and international artists. Every two years the museum mounts Re-presenting Representation, an exhibition of recent representational art.

- Clemens Center Chemung County
- The Clemens Center in Elmira has been host to hundreds of performances ranging from opera to rock and roll since its inception in 1977. Housed in a 1920s theater originally constructed for Vaudeville acts and silent films, today’s center offers two separate performance facilities, the largest with over 1,600 seats. The center’s wide array of musical and theatrical offerings is augmented by the Mary Tripp Marks School-Time series that gives more than 20,000 school-aged children the opportunity to experience live theater each year. The theater is named after author Samuel Clemens (a.k.a. Mark Twain) who spent his summers in Chemung County.
- Elmira Open Studio Tour Chemung County
- In partnership with The ARTS of the Southern Finger Lakes, a group of artists based in and around Elmira have organized this two-day event in October to give visitors the chance to see the environments within which they create their work. Now in its fourth year, the tour includes stops at more than 13 artists' studios where visitors can see works in progress and purchase completed works.
