- Arts & Cultural Council of Greater Rochester Monroe County
- In addtion to promoting and supporting Greater Rochester's cultural organizations and artists, the Arts & Cultural Council of Greater Rochester also maintains a gallery space that features the work of local artists. The council publishes a monthly culture calendar that lists all of the art exhibitions, performances and events that are scheduled to take place in the area that month.
- Blackfriars Theatre Monroe County
- Named after a theater in Britain formerly co-owned by William Shakespeare, the Blackfriars Theatre and its resident company have presented theatrical performances in Rochester since 1950. Housed in a stadium-style theater in Rochester's East End Cultural District, the Blackfriars have mounted productions ranging from Godspell to Kiss of the Spider Woman.
- George Eastman House Monroe County
- The former home of Eastman-Kodak founder George Eastman, this historic home in Rochester also houses a museum of photography. Recent exhibits have detailed the work of single photographers, traced the lineage of a specific branch of photography or explained the science behind photographic technologies.
- Garth Fagan Dance Monroe County
- A modern dance company that performs locally and internationally, Garth Fagan Dance was founded in 1970 and is currently based in Rochester.
- Genesee Country Village & Museum Monroe County
- Twenty miles from Rochester, this living history museum features 175 acres of woodlands, wetlands and meadows, historical buildings, the Genesee Country Nature Center and the John L. Wehle Gallery of Wildlife & Sporting Art.
- Geva Theatre Center Monroe County
- Housed in what was originally an arsenal for the New York State Militia, the Geva Theater of Rochester produces a series of contemporary and classic plays as well as seasonal favorites and improvisational comedy shows.
- High Falls Film Festival Monroe County
- With over 80 films, documentaries, shorts and animations featuring the contributions of women in film from 20 different countries, the High Falls Film Festival in Rochester is held each November at theaters around the city. With an honorary board co-chaired by Anjelica Huston, the festival brings many Hollywood celebrities and film-makers to Rochester to premiere their new films, many of which have gone on to win top film prizes, including the Academy Award.
- Hochstein School of Music and Dance Monroe County
- A community arts school serving Rochester since 1920, the Hochstein School of Music and Dance presents student-based and professional music and dance performances throughout the year. The Live From Hochstein Concert Series highlights student and faculty talent at a free performance offered to guests on certain Wednesdays at noon.
- ImageOut - Rochester Lesbian and Gay Film & Video Festival Monroe County
- Held each October at venues across Rochester, the Lesbian and Gay Film & Video Festival welcomes nearly 9,000 viewers to over 100 films each year. In addition to new films and documentaries, the festival also holds an Archival Night that features historic films from the George Eastman House Museum Motion Picture Archive.
- Landmark Society of Western New York Monroe County
- Landmark Society was founded in 1937, 10 years prior to the establishment of the National Trust for Historic Preservation. The society maintains numerous sites of historic interest in the Rochester area, including the Campbell-Whittlesey House, the Stone-Tolan House, the Ellwanger Garden, the Hoyt-Potter House and Saint Joseph’s Park. The society also organizes tours and other programs to present the history of the Finger Lakes area.
