Cinema 10 St. Lawrence County
With the mission of bringing alternative cinema to St. Lawrence County, Cinema 10 offers regular screenings of independent and documentary films that might not otherwise be shown in this area of the state. Screenings are held on Monday evenings at the Roxy Theater in downtown Potsdam during the Spring and Fall.
Frederic Remington Art Museum St. Lawrence County
Located in an historic 1810 mansion in Ogdensburg, the Frederic Remington Art Museum documents and displays the life and work of this artist famous for his bronze sculptures and painted scenes of the West. Remington (1861-1909) was a frequent visitor to St. Lawrence County and upon his death, his widow, Eva Caten Remington, moved into the home thanks to the benevolence of friends and a local industrialist. In 1923, the home became the Remington Art Memorial and host to the collections of Eva and her sister Emma. Today, the museum hosts a number of rotating exhibitions referencing Remington’s art and the art of the West and is also home to the Eva Caten Remington Education Center that features a number of interactive exhibits for children.
Norwood Village Green Concert Series St. Lawrence County
Since 1974, the Norwood Village Green Concert Series has brought over 500 free musical performances to this St. Lawrence County community. Held several times a week throughout the summer, the series features concerts by local, national and international talent.

Addressing the documentation, preservation and promotion of the folk arts and folklore of the North Country region, Traditional Arts in Upstate New York (TAUNY), based in St. Lawrence County’s Canton, holds three exhibitions per year that focus on the region’s cultural production. Past displays have featured model boats, quilts and tramp art made in the Northern Adirondacks and areas along the St. Lawrence River.
