- Beacon institute for Rivers and Estuaries Dutchess County
- With a mission of research, policy making, and education on rivers, estuaries, and their connection with society, and with offices in Beacon and Troy, this scientific institution with links to major universities and corporations uses the Hudson River as a laboratory for research projects with global applications. Its headquarters in Beacon contains a bookstore and gift shop as well as a gallery with changing exhibits of art and photography on the Hudson and other waterways.

- Founded in 1989, this nonprofit educational institution in Habirshaw Park provides classes and interactive workshops on the ecology, culture, and history of the Hudson River Valley. Bald eagles are often sighted here.
- Center for the Arts of Homer Cortland County
- Housed in a renovated church in Homer, the center offers a vast array of cultural events throughout the year, including exhibitions displayed in the Borg-Warner Morse TEC Gallery, performances staged in Whiting Theater, and a broad array of lectures, art classes and workshops held on-site.
- High Meadow Arts Ulster County
- This school and arts center offers drama, singing, modern dance, music composition, visual arts and video and media production to children and adults throughout the year.

- New York State Historical Association Otsego County
- Founded in 1899, this Cooperstown association includes the Fenimore Art Museum, the Farmers' Museum, a research library, statewide education programs and the Cooperstown Graduate Program in museum studies. The Fenimore Art Museum, a 45,000 square-foot structure built on the site of James Fenimore Cooper’s farm, holds key collections of American art, including the Thaw Collection of Native American Indian Art. The museum mounts 12–16 exhibitions each year.

- The United States Military Academy at West Point has shone above he Hudson since 1802. Its museum, sporting events, and performing arts center are frequented by the public.
- Putnam Arts Council Putnam County
- Providing support services to artists and cultural enrichment to the community, the Putnam Arts Council is located in a turn-of-the-20th-century barn that was once the studio of Mutt and Jeff cartoonist Bud Fisher. Its Belle Levine Art Center features two galleries and a performance space that host exhibitions, plays, and music performances throughout the year. The council is also home to a photography club, pottery classes, and a gift shop featuring local crafts.

- Founded in 1956, this music conservatory provides professional instruction to all ages and skill levels, music therapy, and concerts by students and faculty both on and off campus.
- Sacandaga Valley Arts Network Fulton County
- Sacandaga Valley Arts Network is a volunteer-run nonprofit organization that sponsors a number of public programs in the visual and performing arts throughout the year. These programs take place at cultural organizations and libraries in the Adirondacks and Capital District regions, including Fulton, Hamilton, Saratoga and Warren Counties. In addition to exhibitions, music performances and theatrical stagings, the organization also organizes music and art classes, workshops and public forums relating to the arts.
