Arts Council for Chautauqua County Chautauqua County
An arts service organization in western New York, the Arts Council for Chautauqua County sponsors the Ripley Jazz Festival and organizes a community-based music instruction program offered though the Inifinity Performing Arts Program. Bethel Woods Center for the Arts Sullivan County
Located on the site of the historic 1969 Woodstock Festival in Sullivan County, the Bethel Woods Center for the Arts features a copper-clad pavilion with seating for 4,800 and lawn seating for an additional 12,000 people on a slightly sloping hillside beyond. It hosts musicians of all kinds, from the New York Philharmonic, which opened the center in 2006, to Bob Dylan, Joe Cocker and other rock stars of the 1960s and later. An on-site museum uses film, photographs, text and artifacts to present the history of the Woodstock Festival and describe its ongoing influence.
Catskill Mountain Foundation Greene County
This multifaceted organization in a busy new complex in downtown Hunter runs two farms at separate locations that promote a kind of farming known as natural agriculture; hosts literary programs and performing arts events; and houses a gallery, a performing arts center, a cinema, and a bookstore. The gallery specializes in “everything from outsider art to 6th-century Japanese scrolls” and also shows many local crafts.

A Latino arts-service organization in Montgomery county, Centro Civico of Amsterdam organizes the annual Cultural Arts Festival in addition to classes in dance and folk arts.
Cultural Resources Council of Syracuse and Onondaga County Onondaga County
For more than 50 years, the Cultural Resources Council of Syracuse and Onondaga County has been promoting the local arts community through the organization of arts exhibitions, workshops and artist support programs. Held at venues both in downtown Syracuse and a number of surrounding suburbs, the Council offers an annual Irish Festival in March, the Michael Harms Theater Festival for high school students, the On My Own Time exhibition held at the Everson Museum of Art that features the work of more than 700 employees from 35 local industries and a seasonal Visual Arts Showcase series that highlights the work of local artists in a juried exhibition held at WCNY, a public television and radio station, in Liverpool.
Delaware Valley Arts Alliance Sullivan County
Founded in 1976, this arts service organization in Narrowsburg is home to two galleries, the Gloria Krause Recital Hall and the 165-seat Tusten Theatre. These venues are the site of performing arts series as well as the home of the Delaware Valley opera, the Delaware Valley Chamber Orchestra and the annual Jazzfest concert series. The Delaware Arts Alliance also mounts DiGit, a digital video film festival and Riverfest, a music, art and environmental festival held on Narrowsburg’s Main Street.
Friends of the Arts (FOTA) Nassau County
Established in 1972 to bring outstanding performers to the area and to make the arts a part of local children’s lives, Friends of the Arts continues to bring an amazing lineup of artists to Long Island communities in the Oyster Bay area. In addition to a strong education program that serves 45 local schools and 20,000 schoolchildren each year, the Friends of the Arts hosts the eight-week Long Island Summer Festival from June through Sept, the three-day Long Island Jazz Festival in Aug, and the Beethoven Festival in Sept. All concerts are held in an outdoor pavilion on the grounds of Planting Fields Arboretum in Oyster Bay, save for a chamber music series held in a Tudor Revival mansion on the Planting Fields grounds throughout the year.
