Adirondack Architectural Heritage Clinton County
An architectural advocacy organization in the Hamilton county town of Keeseville, Adirondack Architectural Heritage leads educational programs, tours, workshops and lectures about significant buildings in the largest state park in the U.S. outside of Alaska.
Albany City Hall and Carillon Albany County
Designed by Henry Hobson Richardson, the graceful building that is Albany’s seat of local government was completed in 1883. In a room at the top of its 220-foot tower is the first municipal carillon in the United States, installed in 1926. Restored and enlarged during the city’s tricentennial in 1986, the concert-class, 49-bell instrument is played by guest and local performers at midday concerts during June and July.
ArtsWestchester Westchester County
Located in the historic People’s National Bank & Trust building in downtown White Plains, the newly renovated Arts Exchange is home to the ArtsWestchester, the largest arts council in the State of New York. Since 1965, the ArtsWestchester has displayed the work of area artists and been an advocate for the local arts and business communities. The multi-use Arts Exchange features exhibition galleries, low-cost rental space for arts organizations and a Cultural Tourism Centre on the ground floor.
Bevier House Museum/Ulster County Historical Society Ulster County
Built in the 1780s, this historic house and museum—the headquarters of the Ulster County Historical Society—was inhabited by a single family for 223 years before its transfer to the society in 1938. The museum contains well-preserved artifacts and period furniture depicting the long and varied history of the house and region.

With a double focus on the visual and performing arts, and operating two facilities, the Big Orbit Gallery in Buffalo houses a visual arts exhibition space that mounts shows by established and up-and-coming artists and Soundlab, a digital media workshop that mounts performances of sound and performative artwork.
Boscobel Putnam County

Forty-five acres of gardens and scenery offer grand views of the Hudson River and West Point and provide a dramatic and original stage for an annual Shakespeare festival that is revered throughout the valley.

Brick House Orange County
Built in 1768 by Nathaniel Hill and still inhabited by his family, this handsome brick house with its colonial and Victorian furnishings is open to the public on weekends between mid-May and mid-October, 10 am until 4 pm, and on other dates for special events.
Brookside Museum Saratoga County
Home to the Saratoga County Historical Society’s collection of local memorabilia, the museum offers three permanent exhibitions, including a display focusing on the long history of sports and culture in the area, and two galleries that host a variety of rotating exhibits. The museum also houses an extensive research library on local history and genealogy.

Permanent exhibits at the Buffalo & Erie County Historical Society include multimedia presentations of the Pan-American Centennial Exposition of 1901 and Neighbors, an exhibit of the peoples and cultures that have called Erie County home. The historical society also mounts temporary exhibits illustrating the history of western New York.
