- Adirondack Lakes Center for the Arts Hamilton County
- In the heart of Adirondack Park, the largest state forest preserve in the continental United States, this multi-arts center in Blue Mountain Lake hosts visual arts exhibitions and presents music and theater performances.
- Adirondack Theatre Festival Warren County
- Founded in 1995, the Adirondack Theatre Festival is a month-long series occurring in June or July. It presents new work by American playwrights in venues in Glens Falls.
- Airport Playhouse Suffolk County
- Located two miles away from the Long Island MacArthur Airport, the Airport Playhouse brings the Suffolk County community of Bohemia ten full-scale musical productions each year. The Children’s Theatre features performances by local schoolchildren in 12 plays or musicals that are held at the playhouse and at local Long Island schools.
- Akwesasne Cultural Center Franklin County
- Located on the St. Regis Indian Reservation, the Akwesasne Cultural Center hosts changing exhibits, traditional arts classes and other programs that preserve the historical and cultural legacy of the Akwesasne Mohawk Indians.

- Alfred University—Miller Performing Arts Center Allegany County
- A cultural focal point for Western New York, the Miller Performing Arts Center at Alfred University hosts music, dance and theatrical performances throughout the year in its state-of-the-art facilities. The center also houses a music library and an exhibition that displays the history of performing arts at the university.
- Alleyway Theatre Erie County
- An umbrella theater organization in Buffalo, Alleyway Theatre comprises four separate organizations: Alleyway Theatre presents four to five productions from September through June; Pandora’s Box Theatre mounts productions of interest to women; KidShowCo presents theater for young people and the Upper West Arts Center is a performing arts venue.
- Arena Players Repertory Theatre Suffolk County
- Bringing an eclectic mix of traditional and experimental theater productions to Long Island’s Suffolk County since its beginning in 1950, today the Arena Players perform in a duplex space called the Second Stage in East Farmingdale. During the summer months, the Players hold their annual Shakespeare in the Park series at the Vanderbilt Mansion in Centerport, as well as a children’s series in the Vanderbilt Mansion’s newly renovated Carriage House Theatre.
- Arm-of-the-Sea Theater Ulster County
- A traveling mask and puppet theater ensemble based in Malden-on-Hudson, Arm-of-the-Sea Productions presents mainstage and outdoor performances at Hudson Valley venues such as the Old Songs Festival in Voorheesville, the Ulster County Community College in Stone Ridge and the Jewish Museum in Manhattan. The group also performs and hosts workshops in schools.
- Art Mission & Theater Broome County
- Located in downtown Binghamton's historic district, ART Mission holds monthly exhibitions of contemporary art by regional artists to help revitalize the community through art and cultural activities. Housed in a building dating from the 1840s that was once the City Rescue Mission, the organization views art-making and appreciation as a catalyst that can affect positive change in the region.
