Airport Playhouse Suffolk County
Located two miles away from the Long Island MacArthur Airport, the Airport Playhouse brings the Suffolk County community of Bohemia ten full-scale musical productions each year. The Children’s Theatre features performances by local schoolchildren in 12 plays or musicals that are held at the playhouse and at local Long Island schools.
American Chamber Ensemble Nassau County
A consortium of distinguished musicians based at Hofstra University on Long Island, the American Chamber Ensemble has presented concerts examining music made by the clarinet, piano, stringed instruments, woodwinds and voice for over 40 years. The ensemble focuses on works by American composers and has performed pieces by Aaron Copland, Leonard Bernstein and George Gershwin to name a few. Concerts are held from September through June.
Arena Players Repertory Theatre Suffolk County
Bringing an eclectic mix of traditional and experimental theater productions to Long Island’s Suffolk County since its beginning in 1950, today the Arena Players perform in a duplex space called the Second Stage in East Farmingdale. During the summer months, the Players hold their annual Shakespeare in the Park series at the Vanderbilt Mansion in Centerport, as well as a children’s series in the Vanderbilt Mansion’s newly renovated Carriage House Theatre.
Atlantic Wind Symphony Suffolk County
With performances held at the Patchogue Theatre for the Performing Arts on Long Island, the Atlantic Wind Symphony is a professional orchestra comprised solely of Long Island-based musicians. Founded in 1968, the symphony holds concerts throughout the year, including its annual Holiday Festival that features multi-denominational seasonal music.
Babylon Citizens' Council on the Arts Suffolk County
An arts service organization founded in 1974, the Babylon Citizens' Council on the Arts provides arts classes, performances and festivals throughout the year to residents and visitors of Suffolk County on Long Island. Each August, the council organizes the Long Island Bluegrass Festival in Copiague's Tanner Park.

At its 300-seat theater in Sag Harbor, Bay Street Theatre presents new and classic plays. The company also presents children’s theater and reading series.
Chamber Players International New York County
An ensemble of nationally and internationally recognized talent, Chamber Players International present 30 to 35 concerts per year in Westchester County, on Long Island and at various venues in New York City. Cold Spring Harbor Whaling Museum Suffolk County
This Suffolk County museum has recorded and displayed the history of the 19th-century whaling industry since 1942. One of the biggest industries for historic Long Island, whaling was central to the maritime activities of Cold Spring Harbor for over 100 years. The museum displays artifacts relating to this trade through exhibitions drawn from over 6,000 objects, including one of the nation’s best scrimshaw collections and New York State’s only fully intact 19th-century whaleboat. The museum also offers an extensive children’s education program that includes hands-on displays and arts classes.
Dan Flavin Art Institute New York County
Established by the Dia Foundation in 1983 and only open during the summer, the Dan Flavin Art Institute in Bridgehampton traces the artist’s work with standard fluorescent fixtures and tubes in a permanent collection consisting of nine sculptures.
